Christmas and Christmas Events 2014

Holiday Events we attended

I love that they put a halo on my mischievous boy.

And Amaya ended up on the back row between the two tallest 1st grade boys

Shad went to a work party where everyone was bringing a White Elephant Gift to trade.  This is what we came up with.  It entertained us, and we though it very funny.

Christmas in Ice Park.
I took the kids the Christmas in Ice park and we got to meet the big guy himself.

This is one of my favorite pictures from that day.

Dash wouldn't join the girls up there with Santa.

We had a super fantastic day riding on all the ice slides and going through the ice maze.

Memories from this time in our lives

The afternoon sun streaming in
Fingerprints covering the window
Homemade winter decorations
In 10 years the afternoon sun will be shining on a very different picture.

Ice fog and smog
-45 outside the truck
Last minute Christmas shopping

A quiet moment to look at a book together.

Christmas Day

We have a family tradition of hiding the pickle ornament on the tree and the person that finds it first gets to choose to open a present first or hand out all the presents.  Ella found it this year and opened a present first.

Getting pictures of the boy holding still doesn't usually happen.

Amaya is a tiny bit better at not moving, but not by much.

Ella wanted to stage the reenactment of coming down the stairs on Christmas morning.  Though it was completely fake.  This year the kids kept waking up at awful times during the night hoping it was time to get up.  We had to keep telling them to go back to bed.

Grandma Chatfield always gets the kids something they can wear. We were all very happy with what she sent.

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  We are very blessed by our loving Father in Heaven.
